I Was a 10 yr Customer
I was a loyal 10 year customer. Over that time period I had all of my friends and family bringing their cars to Reis for service as well. When I referred my girlfriend, she was told that she needed both control arms replaced to the tune of $1,500. Although their quote was higher than her previous mechanic I encouraged her to go with Reis because I trusted their work...... NEVER AGAIN! In less than a week of the job being done she called letting them know that the noise was still present and she was assured that it was "just something in the dash" and nothing to worry about. A few months later when she brought her car for a recall with the dealership, the looked at it and said that one of the arms was broken and one was missing a screw and she was correct, the noise was indeed from the insufficient job done by Reis. When she called to talk with them about it, she was told that the warranty was up on the part. I spoke with them and said it shouldn't be about the warranty, the job and or part was faulty from the beginning and not caught when the warranty did still exist. They offered NO solutions or apologies. She ended up ordering the parts online herself and bringing it to be done for $400 at the new place we go. They lost at least 5 customer from this incident and I will NEVER advise anyone to deal with them again!
