going strong at 180k miles

i love this car. it’s old enough to vote. it’s almost old enough to rent a car on its own. still looks good, drives great. peppy and tight. bought used, leather seats a nice bonus. they’ve held up very well.

Fun to Drive!

I inherited my BMW from my Dad. It has brought us a lot of joy over the years! It’s a classic design that still looks great. It has required pricey maintenance and repairs over these years but has been worth it!

Cannot trust taking vehicle on long trips

Unfortunately, the BMW 325 Ci has not been the most reliable car that I've owned. Soon after my purchase and 110K mileage the transmission needed a full rebuild. There does not seem to be an inexpensive service but when it runs my BMW is a great performer.

2001 BMW 330Ci Coupe Hellrot Red Excellence

While expensive to repair especially when you don't have the needed tools and a lift, you are rewarding with amazing suspension control, with the sound of a beautiful 3.0 liter inline six, leather and good moves and looks, hard to beat. Worth the maintenance costs. A smart owner will need to study these vehicles in depth and do research, have money to spend as well.

The trusty E46

I bought my 01 330ci second hand from a used car lot back on 2008 with just over 101k on the clock. Almost 10 years later it’s still running strong with almost 180k! It’s had been a joyous car to own.

Greatest Value in the automotive world

The E46 BMW is a perfect mix of sport and luxury with good MPG. With prices on well maintained, rust free models $2500-5000. I challenge anyone to find more car for the money.

Drives nice, but.....

This car is a dream to drive. However, sometimes I think it is made out of soft plastic. Everything breaks and it is VERY expensive to repair. The oil change odometer feature can only be reset by a BMW dealer at a price.

Great First Car

My wife found a nice 2001 BMW 325i for sell at a good price and we bought it as our teenager's first car. Contrary to what many people think it is easy to do minor repairs and service tasks. There is a YouTube for everything you can imagine because so many E46 owners enjoy working on them. Every little issue that has come we have been able to fix with no more than a couple of hours work. These are very popular cars and parts can be found online at very reasonable prices. The car looks good, everything works, it runs great, its safe, good fuel economy, its fun to drive and most important it isn't Mom's old SUV/mini van.
