Great car, terrible dealer experience, poor MPG

A really beautiful car. Exceptionally well made. So comfortable in all ways. The dealer experience was the worst I have ever had in all my decades of buying a car. Handling is mushy. MPG is poor. Outstanding acceleration and power delivery. Beautiful interior.

Beautiful car. Horrible seats.

Very nice car. Seats EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE. Almost traded it in because of seats. A drive an hour each way to work and I’m in discomfort every day. How do you make such a beautiful car and miss on the seats. Also the entertainment system is so so. Does weird stuff every so often and now my phone can be used through the car speakers. It just stopped working. Dealer says there is some issue with the iPhone and hopes they fix it soon. It’s been over 3 months and I have to hold my phone in my hand to make and receive calls. Unacceptable.

Great vehicle if not for reliability issue

Great styling, great comfort, would be good value except for reliability. Vehicle will periodically not accelerate beyond 10 mph even with accelerator pressed to the floor. Dealership service technicians cannot find a problem. I will not drive this vehicle it is dangerous. I would like to obtain a salvage title on the vehicle and junk it because it is not safe for anyone to drive. Bought it new out the door for over $91,000, one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. The car is a model year 2023 and I have 30,000 miles on it. I'm currently driving my 2008 Honda I bought new for one of my kids in college years ago, it has 314,000 plus miles and counting with very little issues over the years.

Great vehicle, terrible service

I love my GV80. Outstanding performance and value for the price. Superior fit and finish. Due to some strategy that Genesis will not share with their customers they have cancelled their dealers in my market and nearby markets. I have to drive 150 plus miles to get the “free” oil changes and service they touted when they sold me the vehicle. Service is as important as the price,quality and features.

This isn't my first Genesis

As much as I hate to say it, my 2010 Genesis was a much better car. I had high hopes for my 2023 GV80 and for $85,000.00, I expected a better vehicle. Imagine a vehicle where the children in the rear control heating and air. Imagine a lot of things, the Genesis GV80 is not it. They put a lot of nice features in the car, however they didn't check to see if they work properly. They did not, in my opinion, train their dealerships properly in how to repair or handle problems with vehicles. I am very disappointed in my purchase and unless I want to walk away from $30,000.00+/- I am stuck with it.

A Joy to Drive

This was the first time I got in a car and didn't want to get out. I try to find places to go just to drive around. Now that I have moved to a new state I take the long way home just to enjoy my ride more. It was the best choice I made when I bought it.

Solid mid luxury vehicle with elegant design and aesthetics .

Purchased vehicle based on safety and aesthetics. Quality of interior is superior to competitors in same vehicle class. Reliability is very good and quality of ride is competitive. Depreciation (45% w/17,700 miles) of the vehicle is higher than competitors in same class which is a deterrent for future purchases.

2023 Genesis GV 80

This SUV is fully loaded yet affordable when compared to other similar, much higher-priced vehicles. This is a very good looking vehicle that performs very well. My only complaint is that shortly after I leased my GV80, the local dealership was closed by Genesis. The nearest dealership is now over 60 miles away, and I find this to be a major inconvenience for scheduled maintenance.

Great Vehicle To Own

This vehicle is a head turner and fun to drive. Often asked what kind of car it is. Handles the road well and good for long trips while riding in comfort and luxury. My 2025 GV80 is my latest purchase of Genesis. Previously purchased a 2013, 2015 and 2023 Genesis. I have found the Genesis brand to be reliable and reasonable priced compared to its competitors.

Great SUV

Best SUV we have ever had. The ride is so smooth even over railroad tracks So pleases with our choice!!! It has beautiful lines and is very comfortable on long trip.. Especially like the back massage after driving every hour. I would definitely recommend Genesis You would not be sorry

Great car not so great service at scheduling serviice

Review of Genesis GV80 (Purchased October 2022 from Mirak Genesis, Arlington, MA) I purchased my Genesis GV80 from Mirak Genesis in Arlington, MA, in October 2022, and it has been a remarkable experience overall. The car itself is exceptional in many ways. The design is sleek and modern, turning heads wherever I go. The interior is luxurious, with high-quality materials and attention to detail that make every drive feel like a first-class experience. The technology features are top-notch, providing an intuitive and connected experience that enhances both convenience and safety. Performance-wise, the GV80 exceeds expectations. It handles beautifully on the road, offering a smooth and powerful ride. The engine is responsive, and the driving experience is nothing short of exhilarating, whether on the highway or navigating city streets. The advanced safety features also give me peace of mind, knowing that I'm well-protected on every journey. However, one area where my experience has been less than ideal is the service aspect. Scheduling maintenance or any required service has proven to be quite challenging. Despite the excellent customer service during the purchase process, it seems that the service department struggles to keep up with the demand. This has led to longer wait times and some inconvenience, which is a notable drawback for such an otherwise outstanding vehicle. In conclusion, the Genesis GV80 is an extraordinary vehicle that offers luxury, performance, and advanced technology. Perfect family SUV

Completely beat my expectations going from a Cayenne. It may not match the Performance or Fun to Match categories of a Porsche but it just Wows me in all other categories. The cost of maintenance as well as extended dealership warranties is a huge plus.

Tops my list

Of all luxury vehicles I have owned, including Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, and Acura, the Genesis GV80 is by far my favorite! A stylish, comfortable, quiet and highly recommended vehicle. Safety features are impeccable and durability during inclement weather, or interstate travel is unparalleled.

Everything we expected

This car was a replacement for a Mercedes sedan as we needed more room. I was skeptical of the newness of the brand but I did my research and have had all of my expectations exceeded. If your even considering purchasing a Genesis, go drive one and you will understand. These cars are built to compete with the highest quality cars available and they hit the bullseye. The only negative some people may find is that it has a great deal of integrated technology. This was a plus for me but maybe not my 70 yr old mom. Make sure you take the time at the dealership to understand theses systems and read the manual. It is an amazing vehicle that has been very reliable.

Torque converter and drive shaft problems

To many problems with the torque converter and drive shaft problem getting appointments Kearny Mesa is the only dealer in the San Diego area need more mechanics or more service departments in the San Diego area like Chula Vista ca or Have more service departments in the area.

Fantastic vehicle

Would buy again. Head turning vehicle feels very safe to drive. I have the 22 wheels which look fantastic, would probably be a softer ride with smaller tires. Trunk storage is great love the push button to automatically lower second row seating. Leather ventilated seats feel luxurious

Impressive Vehicle

I did not expect to fall in with this SUV. After driving it first few weeks, I have come to love it. The inside is Gorgeous. The seats are comfortable and the overall driving of it is Comfortable as well. We purchased the all weather mats and they are well made. They don’t look like any other mats on the market, they look better than the Carpet mats. They are a must if you purchase this Vehicle, because it will add a luxurious look to your Car.

2024 GV80 Prestige

Beautiful appointed vehicle, the interior far exceeds my expectations. My biggest complaint is the ride, I was a luxury ride to match the rest of the vehicle instead the ride is very disappointing ( probably the ruffest riding vehicle I have ever owned).

Excellent product & warranty, value for money.

My GV80 2.5 turbo is a handsome SUV. Very spacious & comfortable, quiet ride. Excellent value. It has impressed my neighbor to the point where he promptly purchased a GV80 as well. Last year at our local dealership, when my spouse & I first enterred the GV80's cabin, the following exclamation rang out, "My gosh! Business Class!!" THAT pretty much sealed it for me. I decided, then & there, that a GV80 Prestige would be joining our family! Looking back: No Regrets!

2023 gv80 with 20k miles

Love driving the vehicle when it works fine. With all the electrical/sensor issues it gives me a headache. Have to go around dealership to identify the issue. They have not been able to resolve 90% of my identified issues. Listed are the issues 1) front proximity sensor, beeps randomly even when there is no obstruction or vehicle. I have video proofs of this issue. I noticed it in the first month of owning the vehicle. 2) front collision sensor is the same. Beeps randomly and is nonfunctional after the inspection 26th Apr, 2024. 3) driver seat does not return to pre-set position after entry. I have a video proof of this issue. If "A" is the original position. When we exit the vehicle the seat retracts to "B". On re-entry when we open the door, the seat moves to position "C" on closing the seat returns to "B". I have to click my seat memory to get to "A". Noticed within 4 months of ownership. Errors below are after the inspection performed on 26 Apr 2024. 4) head lights not working 5) turn signals not working 6) lane keep assist not working 7) lane follow not working 8) front collision not working 9) high beam assist not working 10) driver attention warning not working 11) check speed limit system not working 12) auto wiper not working
