Such a Fun Car to Drive

I have had two Konas and both were excellent and FUN vehicles to drive. The turbo really set you back in your seat and from 0 to 60, it beats a lot of other cars. I like the acid lime color and the matching trim inside. It is easy to get in and out and I'm "old". The Infinity stereo is great and comfort for a small car is super. My only complaint is that it does not offer a CD player. It seems like only Subaru and Nissan are the final two makes that have not given up on them. There's still a lot of us older people that enjoy CD quality and have big collections. Overall, I love the car.

If you buy this car, go ALL out. Do NOT get the basic package!

The Kona was our 12th Hyundai and we definitely rate it at the bottom of all the models. Unless you go with the deluxe package, don't bother with this car. It's subpar compared to other Hyundai models. Had a number of issues with oil leaking and the dealership was unable to locate the issue. Only to have a recall come out almost a year after owning the car. Escalated to Hyundai Corporate US and given a case number. Never received any follow-up. Disappointed overall!

Love my car!

I love this car! It's fun to drive, fuel efficient and looks great. The integration with Apple Car Play is easy and consistent. I love the head's up display, as well as the lane change assist and rear camera. All of those features make me feel safe when out on the road.

Great Little SUV

My wife and I love this vehicle. It is stylish and comfortable to drive. It offers everything we wanted in a compact SUV and has lots of cargo room. The equipment and safety features are nice. Only minor issue is the acceleration to freeway speeds is a little lacking and maxes out the RPM's at times.

well balanced economical convenience

Car is really a gem. Handles excellently, has AWD, interior is simple clean design and gets pretty good MPG. The only thing you may want is more spirited engine performance, which you can tune up by switching to "sport" mode. MPG will be a bit lower but you will get the missing power as the transmission revs up higher between shifts. Excellent handling, traction and stability in AWD in snow, slush and other inclement weather. Visibility is great and styling is brawny. Has both apple car play and android auto and both integrate very well. Very happy with this car for the last year. Will be well driven for many years to come.

Big car in a small package

Very smooth and comfortable ride and the turning radius on this car is unbelievable. Convenient and easy to use navigation system. I advise that you go out and buy this car right now. I really love this car!

Great compact crossover, met all my expectations

This is a great car. It looks good, is comfortable, responsive and peppy, and has tons of features. I love the entertainment system with CarPlay, and I really, really love the backup camera and the blind spot monitoring. They’re both lifesavers! I also really like the sitting position in the car, as well as the seat confort and adjustment. What I wish it was better: the storage. Trunk is kinda small, deceptively so. Not a huge deal since the back seats can fold flat to increase cargo space, but I’d definitely love more cargo space.

the Kona has a lot of features for safety that I really appreciate. It is a dependable car so far and love the styling of the front grill. I like the fact that it has blindside warning. I like the fact that I can turn off any of the safety features that I want to, like lane keep assist.

I love my. Kona and am continually impressed with the technology and engineering of the vehicle. It is really fun to drive and extremely quick with the 1.6 turbo. Gas mileage is impressive. I am very happy with the vehicle.

Meh

The Konas a great car if you don’t have a faulty engine. Or get subpar service when you need the engine replaced. New car with a new engine… and I’ve switched dealers and would drive 4x as long for better service. Inconvenient overall experience. Hard to be excited for my new car when it’s given me more trouble than the Nissan I bought off the side of the road in high school. If i had a Kona without all the issues… I’d love my car

Great vehicle

I love my car. It's small and fast. It is the perfect car for a small family. Never had a problem with my car. I've had my car since Nov 2020 and I only have 754 miles on it. I don't drive a lot but it's a great car.

Overall I have been satiated with the vehicle. Haven't driven as much as usual,Coved, less than 6000 miles.Has a little wind noise at higher speed could be a little better. I would say the Kona is a very good purchase.

Love the Kona. First Hyundai I have owned. It’s a great road trip car along with versatility of everyday driving. Pricing was within budget as the hybrid and electric cars were still too expensive to even consider. Very happy so far with this purchase.

Great little car

Cute mid sized crossover. Fun to drive and handles well. The features are great and the sound quality from the audio system is fantastic. I do wish there was a little bit more room in the trunk, and a better place to hold a phone as the charging pad does not have room if the phone is plugged into a cord.

Love my Kona!

I love my Kona! I didn't know there was a Kona vehicle until I started researching other Hyundai options. The Kona kept coming up as a top option. The price for a brand new Kona was incredible. I've had it a year, no problems, comfortable, gas mileage is great.

Oil Burner

This car is a lemon. It burned 2 quarts of oil in the first 5000 miles. There was no dash indicator light that the car was low on oil. Car has since been sold! I will nor recommend this car to anyone. I hope Hyundai can fix the engine problem as this is a nice looking car.
